Tariffs

Port of Baku determines tariffs related to the provision of loading, cargo, ship and other services to ships and cargo carriers in the Baku area of the Caspian Sea, taking into account the profitability of both customers and the Company, as well as taking into account the international competitive environment. The Port of Baku has basic tariffs for cargo transportation and ship services in two directions, the calculation method is carried out taking into account the following conditions:

For loading and unloading:

  • Form of transportation (container, dry bulk and piece cargo, wheeled vehicles, wagon and liquid cargo)
  • Trade turnover (import, export and transit)
  •  Nature of transaction (direct or full transaction)

Port dues (vessel):

  •  Vessel volume (cubic meters);
  •  Country to which the ship belongs;
  •  Type of vessels.

Basic tariffs are determined by calculating the cost of tariffs with the involvement of international consulting companies, taking into account costs, as well as tariffs in other ports and international experience. This is followed by tariffs at ports located along the route, market conditions for cargo, corridor policies to maintain competitiveness, and based on s-factors, tariffs corresponding to market conditions are also applied. The applicable tariffs are reviewed in principle every 5 years. Decisions are also made on the application of specific tariffs for large projects and requests received by companies.
